Should ride share apps include voice directions

Hi all. I was in an Uber yesterday with a gentleman who did not speak english very well. Since he had the voice navigation turned off on his app, I was unsure for a moment exactly where I was. Note that there are two ro three ways to get to the destination I was going too. So I am wondering if blind users should somehow have access to voice directions so that we know where we are at a given time. If this is already possible, someone let me know how you would do this. Because Uber, and to a smaller excent Lyft employ people who do not have a firm grasp of the english Language, I think this would be helpful. does anyone else agree?

Hi. In my opinion, you’re better off already having a GPS app you can depend on in you’re comfortable using. That way when there’s a problem, you don’t have to remember how to use a solution created by a company whose focus isn’t directions, but hooking up people with rides. I hope this makes sense.
