Hello all:
so i think that this is not an ios issue or something, but from long time ago, and even on my iphone 8+, 12 mini and now Iphone 13 pro max,.
sometimes the notification sounds stopped, and i should restart my Phone to get them back,
i noticed that when i visit my notification center and delete some notifications, this thing stopped, so, should i visit my notification center every now and then? to avoid losing my notification sounds? because i missed some important things from whatsapp etc because i did not here any sounds.

the notifications centre is important
Everyone should make a habit of visiting their notifications centre at least a few times a day. It solves the problem of having to put life on pause every time you hear an alert sound from your iPhone. You should also make use of the ability to schedule delivery of notifications so they appear in summaries. I have three summaries scheduled during the day. I can schedule notifications from apps which aren't as time sensitive so they don't needlessly interrupt me.
There seems to be some issues with alert sounds not behaving as they should in iOS 18. I don't get my alert sounds when using wired earpods but get them in all other circumstances like through my iPhone speaker or AirPods. I'm using haptic vibrations until the problem is fixed, but rely even more on my notifications centre than usual now. I don't have to pause conversations, stop my writing, or demand silence from everyone around me so I don't miss notifications when they're spoken. I know they'll be waiting safely in the notifications centre for when I find it convenient to check there. I find that it makes my relationship with my smartphone much more reasonable. I'm it's master rather than the other way around.
It's happans to me too
Hi, it's happans to me too.
Every time that its happans I need to restart my iPhone until the next time.
I have an iPhone 15 Pro.
For me on iOS 18 and 18.1 beta it has bin improved.
Yes!!!!!
Hi all!
Sorry for such an emotional topic but I am happy to hear that someone has the same issue that I had when using iOS actively. I switched to Pixel 9 as my main phone recently but all these years when I used iPhone as my main device I had this problem on my iPhone 8 and on my iPhone 13. Now I visit notification center periodically, before it could easily happen that I could miss the notification and had to restart my phone.
By the way, I notice the need to use notification center on Android much more than on iOS, it was always like that for me.
I never really opened it on iPhone until recent times but now I do.
And as one poster told I configured notification summories that work twice a day and left only needed notifications that I always receive.
So you are not alone with this unknown notification bug!
notification summary
Tx for Bringing this to my mind,
i'll try this from today, and hope it will solve the issue.
Really a very good idea
Check Notification Delivery Settings
Hi Ramy,
In Settings> Notifications, check the delivery settings for each app. Some apps' default settings are to deliver notifications quietly, which sends them to Notification Center but doesn't put them on the Lock Screen. I would also check to ensure that banners and sounds are enabled, though some apps don't support all types of notifications.
Hope this helps,
Michael
