Hello all, Since updating to IOS 8 then 8.0.2, I have lost the "shake" ability to undo text input. Both through typing and dictation, the gesture now activates an undo/redo of the predictive replacement whether or not I use it... I have it hidden from my screen.
I am running 8.0.2 on an iPhone 5.
Has anyone else encountered this issue or has the function been reassigned? I already contacted Apple accessibility about this before posting here.
Thanks

Hello! I do have this problem
Hello! I do have this problem! I have found that if you keep the predictive text thing there, it works sometimes, but for me it is very inconsistent! Hopefully they do fix this problem! It's strange, I can do it sometimes right off, and other times I can shake the phone all day and it won't do a thing!
Report it to apple
Report it to apple accessibility throug thei remail or hot line.
Take care.
Already emailed Apple
Thanks Mary, I already sent an email to Apple before posting here. For now, I'm working on learning how to select text with the edit command... The sad part is that it often takes longer than a complete delete and just dictate it again... but only when I dictate multiple lines.
Same issue - but then it popped up.
I just updated a couple of days ago and then found the same thing, no amount of shaking would give me the undo box, finally gave up, gently turned the phone on it's side to re-type it all again, and the undo box popped up!! Now I'm not sure whether to shake it or not??
