I usually have my iPhone set up so my most needed apps are on my home screens, and drag others from the app library to the home screens as needed.
In iOS 18, I'm running into the following issues:
I cannot type in the app library search field - as soon as I try to type a character on the on screen keyboard, it crashes and I'm thrown back to a lock screen. I'm also unable to open folders, such as "productivity", when I attempt this by double tapping the folder's name, I get a blank screen as far as I can tell, and VoiceOver cannot attain focus on anything.
Is anyone able to reproduce this, and is there a temporary workaround I might be able to use?

One can drag from spotlight to the home screen, so for now I search for the app's name in Spotlight and drag it from there.

I didn't experience any of those
I just tried the app library just now, on my iPhone 15 ProMax and it worked perfectly. App folders open normally, and I am able to type in the search field. Also, VO's focus behaves normally.
Item chooser
While I am not experiencing this issue with the app library, I would like to offer a suggestion on using the item chooser while in the app library. First, it alphabetizes everything, and even gives you the option to navigate by letters (apps that start with the letter A, apps starting with B, etc.). Also, item chooser has its own search feature at the top of the screen, so should hopefully help you in utilizing the App Library.
Item chooser, by default, is a two finger triple tap on the screen.

Unfortunately, item chooser just shows 0 items after double-tapping an app library folder.
I'm running on and iPhone 13 Pro, so it might be that specific hardware and software combination that's acting up. I sent logs and screen recording to Apple Accessibility as well.
It might be worth a try with a settings reset, but I haven't gotten around to it just yet.

Same issue, except...
I am experiencing the same issue with the app library search, it crashes and sends me to the lock screen, but I can open folders just fine. I am using an iPhone 13.
Inconsistent Behavior
The app library and app switcher both have some issues with VO. Folders in app library not opening, switcher pushes me back to the home screen before I can interact with the apps on the screen IOS 18 iPhone 12
app library
I am having an issue where when i go into the app library, I struggle to get out of it again. I try the three finger flick right and the home gesture. I am using an iPhone 14. I can't comment on the other issues some of you are experiencing, as I haven't tested the app library properly.
