Seeking help using VoiceOver’s pronunciation settings in iOS

Setting up my new phone, I came across Pronounciation settings within Accessability/Voice over/Speech. I would really like to know how to set this up as I have some regular names that annoyingly always come out wrong when I'm using dictation and aren't showing up in predictive text. Any step by step guidelines would be really helpful. thanks. Debbie

To add Voiceover pronunciations, follow these steps.

1. In pronunciations settings, double tap add.

2. In the phrase field, enter the phrase that is mispronounced. Then enter or record the substitution in a way that Voiceover would pronounce correctly.

3. Select the languages, voices, and apps the pronunciation should apply to.

4. To check if your substitution makes Voiceover pronounce the phrase correctly, double tap play. When your done, double tap the back button and your pronunciation should be saved.

Thanks T Dog. I didn't know you could change pronunciation with VO! Nice to be able to make those fixes.
