Seeking feedback on optimizing app for colourblind users

Hi all,

Hope someone can help us. We have an app and currently trying to understand Colour Blind users' preferences in order to bring a comfortable experience to other platforms.

Apart from Colour Filters in your iOS Settings, what other settings would you usually turn on in combination?

E.g:
- Invert Colours
- Reduce White Point
- Darken Colours
etc.

Thank you in advanced,
Terenze

Hello Terenze,

This forum is for blind and low vision users of Apple products, not colorblind users.

This article about the types of colorblindness and how to design content accessible to this audience will be of interest to you.

It is also possible to--and I recommend that you do--make your app accessible to users of VoiceOver, the accessibility solution on Apple devices that narrates what is on the screen so that people who are blind or vision impaired can use your app. This guide by Apple will give you information about how to optimize your app for users with vision impairment.

If you need any assistance, please ask here.

Thank you, we have already implemented Dynamic Type and VoiceOver in our iOS app.

The reason is we are trying to understand the settings so we can bring this to the Watch app.

Hope we can find some users who are willing to share here.

There aren't colorblind users on this forum unless they also have a vision impairment in addition to their colorblindness. However, have you checked out this forum where you might get better responses?

Thank you so much. That's great! I will definitely try that forum, appreciate your help.

But yes, if there are any other people who can share some thoughts that would be very helpful.
