Hi all,
I'm currently looking for an accessible app which will allow me to keep up with breaking news headlines. I live in the U.S., so ideally I'd prefer the app to be geared toward use in The States.
I use Twitter to keep up with the latest news while on my computer, but using Twitter for news isn't as practical on a phone. While I could in theory use an RSS reader, I'd rather have something that could display the stories directly in-app. I know there are solutions out there, but not all of them are accessible.
If anyone has any recommendations, they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would highly recommend
1. Breaking News +.

There is one called just "breaking news". I believe there's a review of it here on the site...But this one is "breaking news +"...Much more comprehensive than the other one...It's developed by NBC Universal, but they source news from all different media outlets. By far my favorite on-the-go news app.
2. AP Mobile.

This is the official app from the Associated Press...Another very good breaking news app.
I work in the news/media industry and both these apps are pretty much updated in real-time along with professional wire services that are used in newsrooms.
Google News App
The Google News app is very easy to navigate and very accessible.
RE: Seeking an Accessible Breaking News App
I like the New Yortk Times app. It performes nicely. The latest headlines and other limited things are all free. You can subscribe for a monthly or annual fee for full access. If you download this but can't find it on your screen, its because it lives in the News Stand folder by default.
Thanks for the Recommendations
Hi all,
Thanks for the recommendations . Google News is what I'm using right now, but I'd like a way to pull additional stories...rather than the default number of stories shown for a given topic and that being it.
Blind Bandit, how accessible is Breaking News +? Are there any workarounds I should know about?
Thank you.
