Searching the New BARD Mobile

Anyone know how to do wild card keyword searching with the new BARD Mobile search? For books on “financial literacy”, for example, I used to just be able to type the following string: financ litera

(Containing the roots of both words) Can’t seem to do that now.

Also, does anyone have the e-mail address to contact NLS/LOC about the BARD Mobile app? I seem to recall hearing it once but don’t quite remember it these days. Really wish they’d actually put it in the app somewhere, unless I’m missing it?

The email adress depenads on what library you use. None of the ones listed on the bottom of the website for me... they don't even work... The only one that works is the phone number. Try emailing your service provider. The email and the phone number should be at the bottom of the bard website. For the search, there should be a subject button select it, then type into the search field the whole thing. If you wanted, you could also just go into a browser and use the website.

Ok, I have a couple answers for you. First, the email address. Yes, you'll find the address for your NLS library at the bottom of the BARD site. However, the following email address is for the NLS BARD support team. That address is:

nlsdownload@loc.gov

Now, on to your search query. You can still search for books by topic in the BARD Mobile app. Tap on the search button at the very top of the get books screen. From there, you'll see a few options, a search box to type in your search term, title, author or both buttons. I think there may be 1 or 2 more but can't recall. Go to the search box, double-tap on it, and type in for example, financial litteracy with or without quotes. While I haven't tried it with roots of words, I'd imagine you could do the same thing in the app. Hope this helps you. Know you're not alone. I've seen many posts and comments about the new search changes in BARD Mobile in various places. So, you're not alone.
