Hi!
I have an iPhone 8 and I'd like to record some podcast-like content on how certain parts of Garageband are operated. However, I can't figure out how to easily do a recording of the mix of what I'm saying and what the iPhone is doing in terms of audio, while still being able to hear the iPhone's audio output without it getting picked up by a mic. I wouldn't want to start playing around with secondary sound interfaces, adapters and hardware mixers, especially given the fact the iPhone has only one port. Any advice is appreciated.
Greetings,
Felix

Same problem
I have the same problem because I am podcasting and do not have or can afford either a computer or microphone at all.
I maybe misunderstanding but
Hi, Can't you just use the native Voice memos app? Not sure how long you can record with it. However, from what your saying it seems to do what you want. I.E you can come out of the app and talk/flick around and it is all recorded then you can play it back. hth
False assumptions
Hello,
yes, for a simple scenario Voice Memos will do the trick, as will Ferrite or pretty much anything else that records audio. Thanks for pointing it out.
This is assuming, however, that stereo doesn't matter, that quality doesn't matter, and that headphones are not being used. All three assumptions are unfortunately false for my scenario. Thanks anyway---this may well help others.
