I'm begging you DO NOT GET AIPOLY VISION!! I have heard of it, and downloaded it a week or so ago and it crashed on me every time I tried it! Are you talking about the one with the free tier and then the subscription? Because that's the one I'm talking about! I looked at reviews after and seen multiple reports of crashes. I'm not sure of real-time text apps, but I can tell you some OCR. apps )OCR Converts Photos Into Text, Seeing Ai. etc).
They may have come out with a knew version for Aipoly, and in that case I might be tempted to give it another shot. Personally, I'd wait a few months and see if things improve.
Depending on where you live, Seeing AI is currently your best bet. It does real-time text recognition, and as long as you have a steady hand, it works pretty well. You might also keep an eye on Envision, which is available everywhere. It doesn't have real time yet, but it's a feature being worked on. The developer is quite active on this forum.
Hi Remy! Are you jalking about Envision Eli? Because I searched for Envision in the app store, and got no results. I'd at least like to look at it and if it's free, I might give it a try.
But in this case, no joke. It's called Envision AI. Search for Envision and it should come up. You might also check Seeing AI, which really does have real-time text recognition. Envision isn't quite there yet, but it will be.
Hi Sabrina, I agree with poster Remy. The Seeing AI is pretty good but not perfect. I even tried that new app called Texi and it may be operator error, but I couldn't get it to read a document. So got rid of it. Seeing AI isn't perfect but it reads enough and starts reading fast so you'll get some idea of what something is.

The best things in life aren't always free

Haven't found a perfect text reader yet.
