Hi all, How to you read a text message while on a phone call. Here's my example: I'm on a call and they send a verification code. How do you get to the text and then back to the call with VO? Thanks.
My method is to do this with headphones on. While in the call, I can navigate around with the person on the other end not hearing what the iPhone is saying.
It's possible I'm missing something, but can't you hit the home button and go to the Messages app like you normally would? I have an iPhone 8 with a physical home button, in case that's a relevant difference, but in theory you should be able to use all the normal functions of your phone while on a call.
Hi, I do it a lot. Wen I need to remember 4 digits or 6 digits code, I use in my Braille display and write this on a note, or I remember the code. it'sn't hard and I haven't problem to remember it.
On my 6s I can switch to Home and read text messages but when I try to return to active call I can't get to it. I can hear and reply to live person with code, but when it's a phone app like my bank, I can't get to a screen to type in code or anything. I need to learn how to get back to active call with keypad. I can press phone icon and get a new call keypad but not the active call. When live person is on the call I have to get them to hang up and end call because I can't locate red end call button. I hit "hide keypad" to get to home screen, should I press home button w/out hiding keypad? Using latest OS for 6s
Thanks for any help
To access an active call, touch the very left of your status bar at the very top of your screen. VoiceOver should say "call in progress button". If you double tap this it will take you back to the active call screen. Hope this helps!

Headphones
Use wired headphones while on a call. Not only will the person you're talking to sound better, but you can fully navigate your device.
