Well some stated that it has bugs but for me with 16 pro max is OK. No issues that would discourage me from using it, yes but with library but is manageable and does not come all the time, issue with voicemail but that has been around before. iOS 18.2 is fast, responsive, and VO for me works well. No issues with mail, my is on list and get my mail without no issues. For security issues is strongley recommended.
Every time you upgrade, you run the risk of getting the VO focus issue. Some have reported that it follows them across devices as if it is attached to their Apple account or something like that. Extremely disturbing problem, if that is the case.
I think you should upgrade, to be clear, but it is always a bit of a gamble as to whether your device will be usable afterward.
Still finding that if I do not dictate a text fast enough, Siri will start talking before I'm done and say, "It says..." And I have to start over again. Can be frustrating. But other than that, all is well with iOS 18.2.
beOld Bear, exactly! I've had a few unhappy years here and there because of new and improved upgrades, and I'm, hoping to avoid another, which is why I thought I'd ask quick and dirty if there are any deal breakers out there. Losing focus is a perfect example. My phone keeps focus like it should, nowadays, for the most part, and I'm scared of wrecking things upgrading since I can't downgrade once I've upgraded.
About still interrupting, doesn't Apple Intelligence handle that better. For example, can you dictate part of the message, stop, and then resume dictating somehow? If not, I'd be surprised. I mean, come on, what does Apple think people do when they dictate?
Anyway all, thanks for your quick and dirties. Keep them coming! I'd hate to make an irrevocable choice, only for a latecomer to bring something up that makes everyone else say, yeah, ho did I forget that one?
Well people if a bug keeps following you and you getting tire, set the phone as new again, this will fix the bug. For old bear sometimes we need to learn new tricks. Was told her so many times that if a bug continues to follow do a new setup.
Comments
There is none.
You should really upgrade if not for anything for security improvements and fixes.
Not to mention
Being able to disable the Siri auto interrupt that they added in iOS 17, which was incredibly frustrating when trying to text or dictate with Siri.

I like it
I have iOS18.3 running on my 15 pro & love it!
Much to my surprise, my iPad pro 11-inch, from 2021 supports Apple intelligence.
