I have a question for the current developer of Voice Dream Reader, whomever that may be. There are rumors, in a couple of recent threads on this site, that at least some of the apps in the Voice Dream sweet have been sold by the original developer to another developer. These roomers are, as far as I am aware, only roomers at this point. The Voice Dream team have posted in one of these threads and claim to be monitoring the thread and so they apparently monitor the AppleVis forums. My question to them is this. Has Voice Dream, in fact, been sold or is a sale currently pending? If so, which apps are included in that sale? What other details can be provided? Also, could a direct E-mail to the current developer be provided, if the current developer is no longer the original developer?
I don't find the potential sale to be an ominous development. Such is simply the nature of business. However, I believe that the community here is taking the lack of communication regarding this topic to be rather ominous. That could be remedied with a little communication and that is what I am asking for.
I would ask that this thread remain on topic. To that end, I would ask that the subscription model or alternative reading apps not be discussed here. In fact, I would ask that no one post a response, until after whoever the current developer of Voice Dream has posted their response, if they respond. I do realize that, if a sale is pending, there could be legal constraints on any response given and, if so, I would ask that this be disclosed, without disclosing anything that would be prohibited by said restrictions. In other words, I would ask that the developer say something, even if not much can be said.
