I am using iOS 10.2 on my iPhone 6. I notice that since iOS 10 the layout of the Notification Screen has changed somewhat and I am confused.
Just to make sure we are talking about the same screen, the Notification screen is the dialog that pops up when doing a three finger swipe down from the very top of the screen when using VoiceOver.
So here is my question:
When in the Notification screen and after swiping right with three fingers to get to the first page, I see a number of items such as:
- Sotcks (button)
Weather (button)
My Verizon Data (button)
etc.
Under each button is another button that toggles from "More" to "Less" when you double tap it.
However, other than the button labeling changing from More to Less or visa versa, nothing else appears to change on the screen (nor does a sighted person see a change).
Also, I would expect to see data under each of these labels. For example, in previous versions of iOS, my stock data for several stocks showed up under the stocks heading, weather data showed up under the weather data, etc. This doesn't happen any more and it seems like I have to actually click on one of the buttons like stock or weather to actually open the app. What a nuisance! The critical info just used to be right there.
I would have thought that clicking the More/Less buttons would show/hide this additional info but it doesn't.
So, what is wrong? Is this a bug?
Thanks for any insight.

Sure looks like a bug to me
I can only get them to appear by going to that screen and tapping on the edit button, then pressing either done or cancel. They appear then. However, if I exit the screen and go back, they don't appear anymore. Sure looks like a bug to me. Doesn't seem to happen on the iPad, however that screen is different from the iPhone's.
Me too they don't appear
Yes maybe indeed it's an iOS10 bug; I have almost two weeks with an Iphone 5S running latest iOS10.1.1, and appearing of the data under Weather, News and other items within the Notificationarea, is alsowhat's happening. I first thought maybe the problem was my Internet, but either with WiFi, or with my Telcel's 4G internet, the notification data appears when it wants and not as reliably as in the past at least with iOS9 and since when I first started with an iPhone 3GS with iOS5.1.1. Any ideas? Sometimes getting out of the notification area and getting back in, makes the data appear; when not, I have to double-tap on Weather, News or other items to get into the apps and see the data from within. Thanks for info.
Notifications
I can only add some information as a developer who has a Today widget with the show more and show less functionality.
The more/less is a new iOS10 feature and only apps which have taken advantage of this will have anything else when you double tap show more.
I did a quick Voiceover test with the stock weather widget and my widget and they seem to be working ok.
I think all widgets get the button, but only some have been updated for iOS10.
Critical info all present and accounted for.
Hi All,
I have an iPhone 6S, running up to date IOS.
I can report that, on my device, all the critical information is present on the Notification Screen and the More or Less buttons work as expected. More or less..
Perhaps, if the Notification Screen is missing Information You could look at your Data Settings?

Re: Notification screen
Yes, the info on the notification screen seems to be hit or miss. Sometimes all of the information about stocks, weather, Verizon data, etc. will be there and sometimes not. Hitting the More or Less buttons doesn't seem to do anything. This used to be a lot more reliable in iOS 9.

All working consistently for me
As subject says, my notification screen works all the time. All my widgits are visible and up to date. I don't use stocks so don't have that, but my weather app (from the weather channel), bible app, news and other notifications work fine. This works whether I use the 3 finger swipe down or do the first page of the home screen. Both buttons also work, they show more items when more is pressed and less info when I press less.
When troubleshooting this, Things to consider are background refresh, power saver (turns off background updates) and each app's settings.
Now that I think about it, 1 thing that I haven't seen working is the calendar notifications. I have them enabled in settings, but I don't get holiday notifications any longer like I use to before. I think birthdays work but not sure.
