Hello everybody, I received my square card reader in the mail yesterday, and I was wondering if there is any way possible to get it to work with voiceover while the card reader is plugged in to the headphone jack? Any sudgestions. Thanks.

I read that you cannot use the Square reader with an audio extension cable, so I am guessing any kind of two way splitting would be out. However, that has me thinking that you could just dock your iPhone on an audio player or even use AirPlay to listen to music at the same time as take transactions. Both of those would provide audio out while having the Square plugged in. If you wanted to listen to headphones, there is probably some adapter out there that plugs into the charger port at the bottom and provides a headphone port.

Ok thanks, I'll look on Amazon for a doc to headphone connecter. Or wait, I wonder if you could use a bluetooth headset and have the audio come through the headphones?
You basically regester and fill out all the information at https://squareup.com/ as well as download the square app for iphone or android. Once the app is downloaded you just sign in with your account. The coolest thing about it all is both the app and card reader are free, and the app is fully accessible with Voiceover.
