Hi all,
I have a question about scrolling (or going forward and backward) in audio files opened with Safari on an iPad.
When I open an audio file of the AppleVis site on my iPhone, I am able to skip forward and backward for a couple of seconds/minutes. However: when I try to do this on the iPad, I get very different results. There is a slider that indicates the elapsed time, and when I touch that slider, VoiceOver says: slide up or down with one finger to adjust the value. But when I try to adjust the value, it skips forward or backward a very very short time, less than a second.
Does anybody recognize this behavior on the iPad, and do you know whether (and how) it is possible to skipp a larger amount of time?
Thanks in advance!

Buffering
This could be because the audio is only gradually buffering. One thing that you could do is double-tap with two fingers, wait a few seconds, then try the scrolling again and then restart the audio.
Thanks for your reply. I have
Thanks for your reply. I have also thought that it could have something to do with buffering, but why would the buffering take more time on an iPad pro 9.7 than on an iPhone 6s? And if it had to do with buffering, then I would suppose that going backward in the file wouldn't be a problem. Furthermore, I have asked a sighted person to try to scroll forward without VoiceOver, and that seems to work fine. So I wonder whether it is a special VoiceOver thing related to iOS 9.3.2. I don't know how it was in previous versions on iOS on the iPad. Or is the gesture for adjusting the slider maybe different on an iPad?
Any other suggestions or solutions?
Hi all,
Is there anybody who has any other suggestions or solutions for the problem mentioned above? Do other iPad users recognize this behavior? Has it always been like that on the iPad, when playing an audio file or video file via Safari, or is this something that is related to the recent iOS version?
Thanks in advance,
Greetings, Belinda
