I have several questions about using the Apple Remote app on the iPhone to control my Apple TV:
1. I did turn on VoiceOver on the Apple TV so that VoiceOver speech comes out of the TV. However, I had the impression that I could have VoiceOver on my iPhone speak the menus that popped up on the TV rather than having the TV sound speak these menus. Is it possible to have TV menus spoken on the iPhone instead of from the TV?
2. I think I understand how to switch through the various TV menu options by swiping left/right/up/down on the active touch area of the Remote app on the iPhone. However, I often seem to jump by several items in one direction at a time rather than being able to simply jump to the very next item in a column or row. Is there a setting for the swipe or touch sensitivity? Any hints here to make navigation more reliable and reproducible?
I know I can also use the hardware remote control that comes with the Apple TV, but there are times when I would like to use the Remote app on the iPhone, especially when entering text for a search.
Any suggestions for using the Remote app are appreciated. Thanks.

remote app
I don't see any settings in the remote app for touch sensesifity at this time.
I don't see any settings for swiping either.
You also asked if menus can be spoken on the iPhone instead of the apple tv?
I could be wrong but I don't think that's possible.
I didn't see a setting for that in the remote app.
How ever I didn't check the apple tv yet to see if there is a setting for that yet.
