Question About Compatibility Test in MovieReading

Hi Everyone, I'm very excited about the MovieReading app which I recently downloaded on my iPhone 4S. However, I'm still unclear as to how to get the compatibility test to work. Which movie do I test it with, and specifically which link should I click on to perform the test? Do I click on a link on the MovieReading site, or do I go to solo-dx? When I downloaded the compatibility test on my device, no movie was specified. and after following the instructions to start it on my computer and then on my device, I hit OK, but nothing generally seemed to happen. While the movie was playing on my computer, I would swipe around on my phone. Sometimes, VoiceOver would read the elapsed time and sometimes nothing would happen. Any help is greatly appreciated, as I am hoping to successfully test the app before going to see Philomena at the movie theater. Have a great day, and keep up the excellent work with this site. Hello, Rhanda, The compatibility test is a holdover from when MovieReading was originally developed as an app for subtitles in Europe. If you go to the correct page on their website, you will get a video of a woman speaking in Italian, and when you run the compatibility test on your smart device by holding it up to your computer speakers, subtitles will appear on your screen translating what the woman is saying. Obviously, this is of little use to blind or low-vision individuals; however, there are plans to have an audio description version of the compatibility test on a future version of the app. As long as your device is running iOS 6 or higher, your microphone is in working order, and you have headphones or earbuds plugged in, your device is compatible. iOS devices are all pretty uniform in that respect. The compatibility test will come in to play more when the Android version of the app is released, hopefully in the next couple of months.
