QR Code readers

Hi, Just wondering if anyone has used any of the QR code readers? I did find one on AppleVis but it was reviewed a few years ago produce by tapmedia. It certainly works well, but thought there could be others out there that work well with VoiceOver too.

The main use for the app is to read QR codes that are at bus and train stops.

Certainly would be of real value if this feature was built in to some of the transport apps.

My only issue so far with the app I have been using, is finding the code, not an app issue more the need for consistency in where they are placed on the timetables.

Many thanks
Regards
Thomas

I recently noticed that the latest update to Microsoft Seeing AI contains a built-in QR code reader. Just a bit ago I tried this out in my bathroom because I have some products in there that might be applicable. But I couldn't get anything. I didn't want to touch the walls in there yet, because the bathroom was just repainted due to a leak that happened. But anyway, if you don't have Seeing AI you might want to get it and check out the QR code reader. I'm going to do that when all the paint dries in there. Hth and good luck.

You actually don't need a special app for reading QR codes: there is a QR code reader built right into iOS. In Control Center, you should find a "Code Scanner" button. Just tap that and you'll be brought to a new screen that prompts you to find a code to scan. Point your camera at the code and it should be done. It might take a little moving around to get the code to fit into the camera frame, but this happems in all apps of this kind, I think. Once you're done, you may close the scanner like a regular app from the app switcher.
I can't recall if the code scanner feature is there by default: if you can't find it in Control Center, go to Settings > Control Center and find the option to "Insert Code Scanner" under the "More controls" heading.
Hope this helps!
