Hi all I have noticed over the last month that voice over seems to be crashing. This happens when I exit apps using the home key. There are still sounds because when I turn the rotor I can here sounds. The only way to get voice over to work again is to turn it of with the home key triple click and back on again using the same method. I am using an iphone 5s with ios version 8.1.1 [12B435] Just wondering if any one is having this problem. I feel it is crashing less after the recent update but it is still doing it. Many thanks Joe

I get VoiceOver crashing or freeezing several times a day. There seems to be no obvious pattern to when it will happen. In my case, I generally just wait for it to sort itself out and to start talking again. Sometimes this can take 30 seconds, some times several minutes.
App specific?

I too have been having a problem where VO just stops talking, but it is very much App specific and I have been willing to blame the App.
For example, the Facebook App is a constant culprit for freezing and failing to respond. Initially, I thought it was VO until a sighted Friend looked at my screen and informed me that it was the App that was non responsive.
I run an iPhone 5 with IOS 8.11.
