I've been using Down Cast for years and a while ago, I began having problems.
Something has changed or maybe they made a change in the ap which doesn't bring about the same behavior as I once was familiar.
I have some podcasts that I've subscribed to and if I made sure the downloads tab had focus with a double tap, the podcasts would download.
Now nothing happens and the app says download cue is empty.
I tried unsubscribing to the podcast and subscribing again. I can download or refresh them but theyall come back down together rather than the new ones as they are made available.
Can you think of what might be causing this problem?
Am I missing something that has to be check or unchecked in the app?

Check the Downcast settings
There are a bunch of settings in Downcast which may affect this. For me, I have Downcast set to refresh every two hours, to download all new episodes, and to keep all episodes until I delete them manually. These are my preferences, and they work as expected. Also, it is possible to override the settings for individual podcasts, so you may want to double-check them as well.
Also, make sure you are connected to Wifi. By default, Downcast will only download episodes over Wifi, not cellular, although there is a setting that will change this. Also make sure background app refresh is enabled for Downcast under General in the Settings app, or else Downcast cannot download in the background.
If you are trying to download episodes manually instead of having Downcast do it for you, simply double-tapping on the episode in the list of episodes should bring up a dialog asking if you wish to download or stream the episode. If that isn't working, then I'm not sure what the problem is, since it works perfectly fine for me.
Thanks for the downcast suggestions
I see the new eppisodes so looks like your suggestions worked. I Thank You very much!
