Problem with time zone setting in iOS 7.

I have installed iOS 7 on my iPhone 5 and am having problems with the time zone setting. If I set the time zone to set automatically, it changes to New York, which is Eastern time. I live in Nashville and need Central time. If I change the set time zone automatically to off, then it changes to Chicago, which is indeed Central time. But I want my time zone to set automatically. I've even rebootet my phone. Does anyone know if this is a bug or if there is a fix for it? Thanks.

I do have the time zone setting set to on in system services and it still keeps switching back from Chicago to New York, which is a problem. The only way to fix it for now is to leave the setting time zone automatically to off in date and time. Any other suggestions are welcome.

your iPhone gets its time from two sources: from your carrier if your carrier supports it; or from your location if time information is not available from your carrier. time supplies from your carrier always takes precedence because you have to observe different calling rates, etc. to test this, go to settings > privacy > locations > system and turn off location for timezone. then turn off auto timezone. set your timezone to a different city, the further away from you, the better. set it to Paris if you like. now turn on auto timezone and see what date and time you get.
