Pickers Not Displaying In iOS8.0.2 and Safari

Hi, all. When I choose a dropdown in Safari, the form activates at the bottom of the screen, but Voiceover doesn't access a picker. Is anyone else experiencing this? For instance, I started to post this message, and realized I couldn't use the popup to pick the forum for it to go to, so I started over by choosing the link for the app discussion forum, and the forum selection was populated. Thanks.

I only seem to encounter this bug while using a Bluetooth keyboard. To solve it, simply press F5 on the keyboard. Voiceover should then say keyboard visible. at that point, you should then be able to touch near the bottom of the screen and access the picker normally.

Hi Teresa and Isaac
I have an iPhone 5S running iOS8.02 but since iOS8 I been able to select the pickers in Safari.
interesting regarding to your question, Pickers Not Displaying In iOS8.0.2 and Safari.
when select the
Pop up button, using one finger double tap.
the picker item will be display on the bottom at both sides of the screen.
Bottom left side near the corner.
Bottom right side near the corner.
Swipe up or down to select your choice.
Swipe or flick left or right to activate the done button and hit on it.
the only big diference between iOS7 and iOS8 to select the picker is
in iOS 7 voiceOver tells how many choices are on the item picker:
Example 1 of 7 or 4 of 7 and so more.
in iOS 8 voiceOver doesn't tell how many items are on the item list.

I don't seem to have a keyboard shortcut for showing the onscreen one using my Anker UltraSlim. However, I permanently enabled keyboard onscreen with my Braille display shortcut. Now all seems to work well. Thanks for the assistance. :)

I had reported the picker issue to Apple as I couldn't log onto my bank due to it. I've just tried again using my iPhone 6 using the advice above and I see it now does appear at the bottom of the screen. Don't know why they had to change it but now I know it's so easy. Better get back to Apple and eat humble pie (smiles)!

I've had problems using picker items for a while now - even with IOS 7.
When I go to update my jiTunes account, which is required before purchsing items with new phones, I can't activate them consistently.
Eventually I got them all to work except for the title, so I now have to be known as a Mister. No matter how much I tried, that picker item would not activate.

I don't *think it was by design; I think it was a bug.

I'm not in Safari, but the appstore trying to update my credit card info. The expiration date popup buttons seem dead. No pickers appear at the bottom of the screen or anywhere else. In fact, the screen itself doesn't seem to scroll to where the popup buttons are until I manually scroll it down. Am I in the wrong thread--e.g., is this a known behavior in the AppStore, or am I missing something?

I'd be willing to test this with the app store. You might try the method discussed in this thread. Use a hardware keyboard to show the virtual keyboard and see if this works. It does work consistently for me in Safari.
