Odd Sound Glitch since iOS 26.1

Good day to you all!

I noticed an odd behavior since updating my iPhone 15 Pro Max to iOS 26.1 and was wondering if others had also encountered this behavior as well.

It appears that when the on-screen keyboard appears, the sound that it makes jutters for a second or two, kind of like a Jack Hammer!

Now the only workaround I discovered that resolves this issue is to open the VoiceOver settings, navigate to Audio, then Sounds and Haptics, navigate by heading to System, and toggle off the sounds for both the "Keyboard Appear" and "Keyboard Disappear" items.

This isn't a major issue, as it doesn't bother me either way whether or not the sounds for the keyboard are on or off, but like I said, this only started since updating to iOS 26.1 and got me wondering if anyone else came across this glitch.

Thanks!

It doesn't always happen and I haven't found a pattern yet.

I don't notice this issue. In fact, the keyboard sounds are practically inaudible unless I'm wearing AirPods.

I haven’t seen this on my iPhone 15 or my iPhone SE third generation. I gave the previous comment though. Those keyboard clicks are barely audible when voiceover is on. I’ve been asking Apple for a while if we could have a way to increase the volume with the keyboard clicks or have something that’s a different sound that’s more like the click that are in the secure text field to at least know if the keyboard clicks are working or not. But so far that hasn’t happened. I’ll just have to ask them again I guess. Cause if enough of us want it they’ll change it. I’m sure this isn’t the most helpful answer. I’m sorry about that, but I can’t really think of anything else to change. Unless you may try tackling the setting on and off the sound and haptic for the keyboard feedback and then see if that makes any difference. Sometimes a single child can change his settings.

The odd glitch that occurs with the keyboard sound is not the ones you hear when you type a letters, it’s the sound the keyboard makes when it appears or disappears from the screen.
