Is there a way to make it so that I can hear when a notification comes in but so that the visual message doesn't come up and bring up my screen when it is off and so that VoiceOver doesn't read it aloud? I basically want sound in lock screen but no VO reading when a notification comes in. If there is a way to do this, how does one do this?

Hi there is a way for messages and more notifications number 1 open settings from your iOS device number 2 go to General number 3 go to accessibility number 4 then voiceOver number 5 finally go to speak notifications in Lock screen and hit on it you have only the option to off or on if doesn't work for you make changes on Notifications under settings app I hope this helps.

you have to go in to settings, notifications and turn off the show in lock screen switch for each application you want to do this.

Hi there! Yes, that is absolutely doable! I've done it to all my apps. Just hate it when VO starts talking while in the midle of doing something. Go into settings and notifications. There you would have to do the same for every single app you don't want to give you notifications on locked screen. Tap the name of the app that you want to turn this notifications off for in the list. Once there, I think the last option you got on that screen is "show on locked screen" or something like that. Set that to off, and you're good to go... :) But be sure to check that sounds for that particular app is turned on... :) HTh

From settings if you go to notifications there you will have to off all the apps from show on locked screen...

Pathetic for apple to have such a simple goof.
