Notifications and Do Not Disturb

Hi all, Is this a bug? While DO NOT DISTURB is on, notifications are showing up. And when my alarm goes off in the morning, while the alarm is ringing, VO is also reading the notification that says, "Calls will be silenced...". The only work around I know for this is to turn VO speech off and then turn it back on after waking up. I thought that when in DND, notifications shouldn't be coming up at all. Thanks for any suggestions.

If you are getting notification and VO is letting you, yes. I think it is broken. For me whenever I try to clear notification all, can not do so. I have to do one of the time.

I'm still running iOS 12 and use DND every night. When DND is enabled and notifications/messages come in, they are silent, but they still appear on the display, so when the phone is awakened, they are read by Voiceover. I don't use an alarm in the morning, but I assume when the alarm sounds, the phone is awakened, therefore, the notifications are read by Voiceover at that time. This is normal behavior.

Hi KE7, Thanks for reporting this bug. Yes. I thought when the phone is on DND, notifications are supposed to be silenced unless the Notification Center is opened with the three-fingers swipe down from the top of the screen.
