No download link for Bookshare on Voice Dream Reader

I use Bookshare to download books using the Voice Dream Reader app on iOS. (Not sure if it matters, but I've had the app a long time and don't pay a subscription.) I've noticed that I can no longer download books from Bookshare, though I can use other sources to add books on the app. I'm logged in to Bookshare on Voice Dream, and I can browse books the usual way, but there's no link to download, either on the results list or on the pages for individual books.

I have tried removing Bookshare and logging in. I'm on the newest version of Voice Dream, but I am on iOS 16.5, just not interested in trying out the newest bugs yet.

Thanks for any information on this.

I have had this happen in the past, and at first couldn't figure out why. You might want to check your Bookshare membership to make sure it's still currently active. You may need to pay your yearly subscription fee or verify you are a student again. Then you're download buttons Will appear in the app again.

Jesse, that was it exactly. I should have thought of this, but I guess I expected a notification to come through by email when the membership expired. The links are back now after renewing.

I just downloaded a book from Bookshare last night. I just go to add in Voice Dream, go to Bookshare in the list of sources, go in and search for the title or author and the download is under the title of the book. I have always done it that way. Hope that works. I'm using an iPhone 12 Mini with iOS17.2. Hope this works for you.

It was that I needed to log into Bookshare on the website and renew. Now it works as you describe.
