Hello. Maybe I'll start with a few explanations.
I got an iPhone 13 for my birthday, I configured it a bit with the help of my sister. And I'm stuck, because 1. I think we configured the face ID incorrectly, because it doesn't recognize my face. Is there any way to reset it? And what should I turn on?
Sorry for the slightly chaotic style. I just don't know how to write it in English.

You can reset face ID
Go to settings, face ID and passcode. You would have to set up a passcode, in case you are either laying down or maybe you just want to use that. Enter it, it will be four to six numbers long. Then near the bottom, you'll see a reset face ID. The other reason you might not be recognized is what's called attention. That means you have to be looking directly at the true deapth camera to get it to unlock. If this button is switched on, you have to keep trying until it will unlock or turn that switch off. Once that's done you should be able to use it again. Or turn off passcode but I wouldn't recommend that. Hope that helped somewhat. Let em know if you need me to walk you through it step by step.
2 cents more..
I figured out a little trick that may help you set up a new face ID profile. Through trial and error, a lot of error, I discovered that if you stand in a well lit room, or hallway, and hold the iPhone with both hands while pressing the back of your hands against a wall, keeping the iPhone at eye level, the FaceID profile will happen stupid fast.
Thanks. I'll try
Thanks. I'll try your solutions and i let you know.
@Siobhan i tried as you wrote
@Siobhan i tried as you wrote, but Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but it didn't help. For now, I'm unlocking using passcode. What I meant was that I was turning attention on and off.
Maybe you should try with someone sighted
I mean no offense by that subject. I would try what Brian suggested, or just be happy with passcode. Turning attention on means you have to not move a muscle when you look at the camera. off means it doesn't matter what you are doing eyes open or not. Scuze me, roast prime rib coma calls.
Ah, thanks for clarification
I didn't understand what it was about. Thanks for the clarification. And don't worry, at least I didn't feel attacked. You know, I wanted to ask a general question first. I had an iPhone but 6, so well, it's a bit different.
Always ask
As long as there's a person willing to learn, i'll do my best. It's when attitudes I can not appreciate nor deal with in a polite manner, I will let the beast out to play so to speak. I know everyone's learning stages are different, text doesn't help either. But in the end, I'm more of a person who once I know they have the building blocks of how to use a phone or Mac, I don't hand hold much. anyway just keep trying.
