I wanted to check with the community before I report this issue/ challenge/ bug. I am using an iPhone 12 which is on the latest update of IOS which is 17.1.
The concern is with the mail app.
Issue 1: When composing, forwarding a mail and entering the contact name in the to field; I type the first 3 letters of the contact name and swiping right gives me the suggested list of contacts mail addresses. However, not all mail addresses for the contact are shown. Example John has a work and a personal mail address. Typing John in the TO field, will give me only John's work mail address but not his personal address. When checking the contacts app for John, it shows both the mail addresses in the contact card one listed as Email and the other as Work.
Issue 2: When selecting multiple mail messages in the inbox and wanting to trash them; do not get the trash option/ button. It shows the Archive button instead. I believe this issue was seen earlier too, don't remember which version of IOS. I have made the check under settings/ mail/ accounts/ account name/ advanced that the trashed/ deleted messages go to the trash and all other settings are as they were.
Trouble shooting steps I have tried are:
1. Removed the mail account from settings/ mail/ accounts
2. Force closed the mail app and restarted the phone
3. Edited the contact by removing all mail addresses and retyping them.
However, nothing has fixed this challenge. Please let me know if you all are also having a similar challenge. If yes, please report to apple: apple/feedback/iPhone
