need a pro tube replacement

Hi. I am looking for a replacement app for pro tube. About 14 days ago, the downloads quit working. About 8 days ago, the developer said on twitter he knew the downloades were broaken and that he would put out an update to fix it which he has not done yet. So I am looking for a different youtube app I can use for downloading while I wait for the pro tube update. I would like it if the app could download as audio like pro tube does, but if it can only download the files as vidioes, I can just use a vidio to audio converter. So any ideas on what to use instead of pro tube that works on iOS 7? Thank you. Also, do any of you know what broke the downloads in the first place? I had the latest version of pro tube and the downloads were working good and one day they just stopped and there had been no update to pro tube. So it was not an update that stopped the downloads from working. So what did stop them? Thank you.

I am afraid it was Google who changed something in the internal workings of Youtube that stopped Protube downloads, and maybe downloads in other Youtube downloader apps too. As far as I know Google doesn't really like Youtube downloaders. I am almost certain that it has happened multiple times in the life of Protube that downloads became broken time after time, and the app author needed to update Protube to maintain compatibility with the changed Youtube internals.

Well, in the past, how long did it take from the time google stopped the downloads to the time an update fixing them came out? Because now it has been about 2 weeks and there is still no update.

Hello there, I am also looking for a tweek or a app which is similar to protube. it has been a month now and there has been no update for the broken downloads in protube. I would prefer a app which downloads just the audio as protube does,but if one isn't available,I guess I could try my hand at a few of those downloaders. thanks

Hi. The update fixing the downloads just came out. I installed it and tested it and it works again.

From what you said, I am guessing you already bought an earlier version of pro tube. If this is true, you can get the updated version for free. This is also true of most other Cydia packages. To find out if you have pro tube, go to the Cydia tab in Cydia, then click manage account, then sign in with either google or face book, which ever one you use to buy Cydia packages, then click on installable purchases and then look in the list of stuff you bought to see if pro tube is in there. Hello guys! well I have been using protube and even with the update I still can't download many videos.
My alternative for you (but it is not a tweak) is to use the webpage http://www.youtube-mp3.org where you simply paste the URL and it instantly converts it giving you the file to download it.
There's no limits using this webpage.
