Hi so I brought a 128 Gig SanDisk flash drive that can connect to both a computer and an Iphone-Ipad via a lightning adapter on the back. I put my music on it as I have a 64 gig phone and about 58 gigs of music. Which is why I cannot simply just put my music on my phone. The app that came with the drive allows me to look at the files on the drive, play files but it will not let me shuffle my music folder. For some reason iXpand Sync the suggested app for the drive can repeat songs but it cannot shuffle them let alone shuffle everything in a folder. I need an app that can shuffle everything within a folder. If it means that I have to take all my music out of the sub folders and have it in 1 large folder I can do that however if I did this now it would repeatedly play all my music in the same order. Any suggestions and advice would be great!

Does the app lets you pick what song to play? For example, you have 50 songs in your flash drive, can you pick number 29 to play? Another question is what's the name of your flash drive and the app? Thanks very much.

Yes I could go down to file 24 and play it but it still wouldn't be shuffeling. The flash drive is called SanDisk iXpand 128GB USB 2.0 Mobile Flash Drive the app it uses is called iXpand Sync.

So I contacted Sandisk and they said they had forwarded my feedback to the concerned department. Something could be done I hope they do update it but for the moment I am still trying to find another app.

Would file browser do this? I dunno if it can see your drive but it's worth a try.

Try using iTunes to play the songs from your flash drive. If any of the songs on your flash drive can't open in iTunes, you can try the quick time player. Hope this helps.

I don't think itunes and QuickTime are on an ios device. I thought the user was on an ios device not a computer, at least for this example.

I contacted San Disk and since there have been 3 updates to the app with no shuffel option. If anyone has any app ideas or work arounds to try I'd love to hear them.
