Using 16 pro max and 26.5.2. Called a friend she told me my name did not show up, just the number. I check my settings and is on show on contact. Please provide steps by steps to make sure my name and picture is showing on others contact instead of just number. Thanks.

Holger, google it. I've seen this as it happened to me. She needs to make changes on her end. Can't remember how you fix it but for me whilst google suggested a fix I just did a hard reset and names reappeared. So, if she hard resets that may well work.

Thought is on my side. Also people do not see my picture. Not just her, her sister told me my name is not shoing or picture.
Carrier glitch
While I have no way of proving this, I believe this is sometimes caused by a carrier glitch. More importantly, the data that is transmitted when sending and receiving calls from one device to another. There are times when friends of mine will call me, and their phone numbers will show up on the caller ID, rather than their names. And sometimes when I call them and my phone number will show up on their screens rather than my name. We do not have the same carrier either. I am, sadly, now on T-Mobile (used to be US Cellular), while I have friends on Google Fi and other carriers like AT&T.

You can also try setting your information to show for everyone, not just contacts.

Steps
Go to Settings, Apps, Phone.
Navigate to the.. "Calls" heading.
Swipe left once or twice to get to the.. Share Name and Photo Contacts Only.. button.
Double tap that button, then swipe over to the right, and make sure that.. Name & Photo Sharing.. is on.
Finally, swipe to the right two more times, and there will be a button labeled Automatic Sharing, Contacts Only. Double tap on this, and there will be some options. For me I only get Contacts Only, and Always Ask.
I don't know if the everybody option was removed, or if it only existed in my dark imagination. Either way I would recommend you set yours to always ask for the time being. You can always go back and change it to contacts only later.

No it was there, it probably was removed, Remember Apple does not like me. Thanks, she call me and my name showed up again for her, What is strange, when she calls me or anyone else, their name comes up and VO reads it. I will blame apple.
