Music app and table index not working properly

Hi folks,
yesterday I have upgraded to iOS 8: when using the Music app and browsing by artist name, it seems that table index doesn't work anymore: in fact, if I touch the right corner and move up and down letters will be spoken but the cursor will stay where it was.
Is it just me?

When I go to music and then go to artists I don't see the table index at all.

Well, I can say I'm not really surprised, music app is very buggy, sometimes it crashes and some other times even double tapping on a song the playback wouldn't start.

Hi! I've been using the Music app with IOS 8 for two months now, and I have no problems either with the app or the table index. The Music app has never crashed for me, it works excellently on my iPhone 6. I have no experience of using IOS 8 on any older i-devices so I don't know if that makes any difference with the Music app. As for the table index of the Music app under IOS 8, it's true that it's not always obvious where to find it, especially when exploring the screen by touch, but I find the table index by swiping right from the top left-hand corner of the screen, either in the Songs or Artist lists, then when VoiceOver says "table index" I can flick down through the letters of the alphabet as normal.

I'm able to find the table index and the fact that it isn't working really bothers me because I use it all the time. So do you think restoring the phone to factory settings would be enough?

Hi I'm agree with the previous post submitted by Clare Page
the Music app has not problems it all just follow the directions who gave Clare Page and it will be working fine
I don't think that restoring the device to factory settings will be the solution.
try using exploring by touch and then flick left or right.
One of the voiceover bugs to iOS8 is that some text lines looks like hiding whenever use some appss, I seen this issue on apps as:
Phone
BlindSquare
Music
TuneIn
and many more
the workaround is exploring by touch until find the text.
listen the next demo.

I have found that music doesn't play after a time. when I skip a song, the next one is suppose to play. However, I found that on the screen, it shows the song playing but I don't hear anything. After that, restarting the app is the only way to get it to start playing. I think this existed in IOS 7 as well but can't be sure.

Thanks, the weirdest thing is that if I flick down to artists from u to z when I touch somewhere on the screen the focus would move to the right location, otherwise if I flick, let's say to F or M focus would go back to artists starting with A.

Have you considered doing a reset by pressing the power and home buttons simultaneously until the phone shuts down? Sometimes that cures just about anything that I am struggling with.

The other thing to remember is to ensure that the rotor is set to adjust value before flicking through the table index.

Yes Roxan, I did both things you suggested, but nothing new. Again, I'm able to go through the letters of the alphabet, but for most (from a to t) it won't work, focus would go back to letter A.
