So, my mother just got a new vehicle which has Carplay® ability.
I'm curious though... I know that it would be fairly limited if so, especially being Carplay would be more designed for the driver, which of course I'm not, but someone did tell me a while back that they thought to a small degree, Voiceover was available in Carplay. I know I could navigate from the phone, and things would mirror on the dashboard screen, but that's not what I'm entirely talking about. It is, but it isn't. I'm literally saying without use of the phone, just from Carplay itself, can she tap on carplay, or on apps from her main screen when turning on the car, go into settings or the like, and somehow turn on Voiceover directly from within Carplay itself?

David woodbridge
I'll spell it again since i'm not awake yet. David woodbridge, who's done great podcasts, did one on his wife's car. I don't remember if it's on here, or on his site. i'll link below but he's been inactive for a few months and I don't know why but it seems to suddenly not show up sometimes.

Only Siri and steeering wheel controls
CarPlay is amazing and wonderful, but there is no VoiceOver on unit itself, and best control I've used has been with Siri and steering wheel.
