lyrics feature in Apple Music not automatically speaking

I just subscribed to apple music because in my oppinion the variety is way better on the decades playlists than the service I was using. Anyways I listened to the podcast about the lyrics feature in Apple Music. I was able to turn this feature on, however voiceover is not automatically speaking the lyrics so I have to read them myself by swiping. I found where others in the comments had the same issue. The podcast author suggested setting voiceover to speak all notifications to on. This is not working. I've only tried it with my iPad running 13.6 so far. Could there have been a change in this feature since the orriginal release of the podcast? I will probably try it again on my iPhone to see what happens there but so far with the iPad no go.
