looking for a youtube downloader for iphone

Hello there, I am looking for a app which will let me download youtube videos or just the audio from the videos. However if there isn't a app that can do that,is there some other way I could do the same thing?websites and such? I'll be away from my pc for a while and I need to download videos as I am about to visit a place which has no internet access. Any ideas? Falcon wings.

I use video catch its free and all you have to do is search for the what you want and download

I am unable to find video catch in the App Store. I am also at a place with limited Internet access, so I had the same question as the previous poster.

Hi, I'm not sure of any apps that do this, but for retrieving the audio from any youtube video I use www.listentoyoutube.com It's quite easy to use and converts the video to an mp3 file. Also if you require the actual video from youtube, just enter "ss" between the www. and youtube parte of the URL. For example if the URL is www.youtube.com/blah just enter www.ssyoutube.com/blah and you have the option to download the video in mp4 format. Great to import directly into any iDevice through iTunes!! Hope that's helpful.

Hi, So when you put the s in Front of the YouTube link, do you put the S in front of the URL that you want to download, is this right?

Hi Donnacha, But my question is,how would you go about downloading the mp3 from listeningtoyoutube? on a pc I could use it to download and all but the thing is I don't have access to a pc. I have tryed universal download manager lite, however the dam thing only plays the video not download it. I have tryed what it says when trying to download,but it doesn't work. grr. As for video catcher I'll do a quick search and see if I come up with anything. Thanks

Thanks bunches Ken! finallyI have a downloader which actually can download.:p just wondering, is there a way to download just the audio? either way I don't really mind as I have megs to use and my time's about to be up.:d Does it support any other webpage? Falcon wings

It downloads the files this MP4 movies. I don't know how to extract MP3 from MP4 movies, probably an app that does it. You can set the video quality so that it's only high-quality instead of high-definition, and yes, it has a browser tab for you can go to other websites Skyside YouTube. The app itself is for Free, but it's just a demo that only allows you to download five songs. After that, you have to pay two dollars. It works very well. Now, what we need is an app that can download SoundCloud songs…

I use McTube as you can download the video from youtube and it's very very fast. You cannot extract the audio but it works very well and useful if you don't have internet. Hth.

If you are jailbroken, you can use an app called YouTube to MP3. Not only does it convert your videos to MP3, but you can also add them to your music library. It is a free app in the big boss repo. Enjoy. :-)

I did have my phone jalebroken,but then I had to send it for replacement and lost it that way. =( Ahh,mactube does that? I was considering either mactube or u player if I am not misremembering the names as apps to watch videos on,but then I thought I need to actually download the videos not just stream them. Either way,I music pro thingy is good enough. I'll try a few sites on it though,to see if it downloads from those places. if it does,I'd be glad to buy the app. Falcon wings
