Hi I am looking for an alarm that will vibrate and not make any noise. I tried to set this up with the clock app but could not get it to work. If anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.

Under sound setting for an alarm, choose a vibration. Next choose none from the list of tones. It is the last option in the list.

I tried that and it still made a sound.

Hi Jeff.
I do not know of an appl that will do this, but know the TCP Alarm, which is a device you put underneath your pillow, can do this. It costs around $30 on Amazon. You then download the free iOS app and configure it through there. There is an accessory review on AppleVis if you are interested.

Thanks I'll keep looking. I need something I can use for my counseling sessions. Great thought though!

Good Morning Jeff. I just tried setting a timer and an alarm through the stock Clock app on the iPhone.

First, when setting the timer, I chose stop playing, located at the bottom of the list. Vibration options weren't shown as a setting. When the timer ended, the phone did nothing, not even vibrate. I didn't know the timer was complete until waking my phone to look.

Next, when I set an alarm, I chose default vibration and selected None, again shown at the bottom of the list. This time, when the alarm went off, the phone vibrated, which does make the vibration sound of course, no other ringtone came from the phone. It should be noted that, I use an apple watch and the ringtone did sound on my watch. This can be disabled in the watch app, however.

So, I'm not certain what your demo was like, but it seems to me that the stock Clock app should meet your needs for the counseling sessions. For example, if all your appointments end at 10 minutes before the hour, then setting up some presets will mean that you don't have to fuss much with the app. If, however, your appointments aren't that fixed in time slots, then simply set the alarm just before getting your next client.

I hope this helps resolve the issue for you.
