Looking For An App To Teach Kids The Alphabet

I'm sure there are plenty of you that are parents so I'm hoping someone can help point me in a good direction here.
One of my kids will be starting school this fall and I've been trying to find a fun and effective app to help her learn the alphabet better and maybe do a bit of basic reading. I don't really care if it's flash card style or a game or something else but I was hoping to find something that's either accessible or easy to follow along with so I can help her through it.
For those of you that have found a way to do this what tools did you use? I assume iPad would be easiest but I'm open to any suggestions.
