Has anyone here tried using the latest version of the uber app? It appears they changed the design and swiping through the app no longer works, I'm glad I had the previous version stored on my pc.
Hi!
In order to use the app, you need to drag a finger around the screen. This gets you to the pickup location and the account button and other parts of the app. It's still usable, just with the drag gesture.
Even when having to drag a finger around the interface, I still find Uber to be ridiculously frustrating to use. For voiceover support and overall functionality, sidecar is by far the superior choice out of all three of the TNC providers. Do you live in an area where you can only get Uber?
I don't use it much, I was just fiddling with it and found that yes you have to drag your finger around for it to work well. I know it's inconvenient, But, for my needs it isn't a real deterrent.
My issue is, I can't even use it with the drag technique like others have mentioned. I slide my finger on the screen, but Voiceover does not recognize anything apart from the buttons at the bottom of the screen. So, the app has been unusable for me ever since this last update was released. I emailed them about it too, but got a generic sort of response; thanks for your feedback and we work hard towards customer satisfaction. Something along those lines.

Annoying and inconvenient
