iOS and iPadOS

Hi. I was looking around the Applevis directory and saw mentions of Last.fm. I know this app has been around for a few years but never took much of an interest in it. So just for fun I downloaded both the last.fm iOs app and the scrobbler for iOS which connects to your last.fm account. At this point I'm not sure what to do with this. entered in a bunch of artists that I like and when I saw the radio tab on the app I thought wow, I'll kick back and listen. Much to my shock and dismay, I got the following message. Last.fm radio is not available on mobile devices in this country. So, without the radio portion of the app is there really a point to this app at all? Obviously I'm missing something. Can someone help me out here? If you've used it what's it for if you can't listen to the radio part of the app? Thanks.

For the last several years, you had to be a LastFM subscriber to listen to the radio on any device other than your computer. So if you wanted to listen to the radio on your IPhone, you had to pay $3 a month. It wasn't a bad price, because LastFM had a lot of great music, and the kinds of radio stations you could cultivate made music discovery a joy. If you found friends on the site with similar interests, and listened to their libraries, you could really discover a lot of new music. But on Wednesday, LastFM subscribers got an EMail, letting us know the radio service is going away on April 28th. You can still play radio from the computer, but not from any other devices. So now we're all asking the same question you just asked, what is the point of the app without the radio? And the answer we're all coming up with is, . . . not much.
