Hey everyone!

We have just released Labelo - a free & open-source app aimed to provide a way for people to easily manage their NFC tags. We really want to make this a tool that is helpful to visually impaired people.
Because of that, Labelo is built with accessibility in mind.

You can download Labelo here: https://apps.apple.com/ba/app/labelo/id6737562761

We would like to hear your feedback!

Thank you.

I just downloaded the app and found it to be very accessible. It might be helpful to have some sort of help option for folks that aren't that familiar with NFC tags. Where can tags be purchased, what kind of NFC tags should be used and other instructional material.

I've only used Way Around with their tags so am not familiar with other systems.

An accessible app to use with off the shelf NFC tags seems like a great idea. Thanks for creating one.

This is cool. I've used nfctools and nfctap in the past and both have paywalls but generally accessible too.

Thanks for the feedback, we really appreciate it. We will definitely try to make a onboarding experience to explain NFC to users that are not familiar with it.

I will definitely put this app on my short list, but I've got a question. Are you referring to physical tags, or tags that just automatically populate in the app once the user aims their i-device at something such as a grocery item? I, too, could benefit from an on-boarding guide as I've had mixed results when attempting to point my phone at something to be identified.

I recently purchased some tags to test with, but I can not write information to the tags I have. These RFID tags are compatible with iPhone as it says in the product description on Amazon.

Some feedback on the app is as follows:
When creating a tag, the helper text inside the field shoudl disappear when the user starts typing the tag label. Otherwise, the user may have the words "Tag 1" prepended to the beginning of the label.
Set the Return key on the on-screen keyboard to Done. It's not clear whether I need to hit return, tap write Tag or do something else. Also, once the Write Tag button is pressed, the screen moves to the Reading Tag view. However, if reading the tag fails (which it did in my case), return the user to the Create Tag view without the OSK on screen.
Next, it would be great to have haptic feedback as well as a sound when the tag is detected or written. Perhaps a sound for each.
