Hi Everyone!! Just wanted to tell you all about this new app I am obsessed with!! It's called Blab and I heard about it the other day on Periscope. It's just like Periscope except a group of up to four people can broadcast instead of just the one person. Like Periscope, it's video and audio. I have found lots of interesting content on it. People blab about everything from just hanging out to more serious stuff such as doing podcasts, shows, marketing, social media, education, and panel discussions. It's neat to listen to a whole group of people instead just the one. Also, with Blab you can actually use it from your computer so you don't have to worry about your battery draining. So blabs will last for hours instead of just a few minutes. It's really neat!! Everyone should check it out! If you like Periscope, you will like Blab!!

I don't see the point. I use meer kat where I can and have gone on for 2 hours and with camio I can have someone take over for a minute.

Thanks for the app though.

I guess for me the difference is with Meerkat and Periscope only one person can broadcast. With Blab, a group of up to four people can broadcast. It's neat to listen to a group of people hanging out/discussing something/doing a show rather than just one person. I downloaded Meerkat but didn't like it. I much prefer Periscope and Blab.

Actually with camio you can have as many peopel take over for 60 seconds so that's cool. I have not done it yet bugt I might give it a try. I love meer kat and my follower base has grown. People are wonderful on that platform and the devs are wonderful.

I love blab. it is the best video platform to stream Live video. the 2 features I love the most are: 1. you can have up to 4 people join your video at once. and 2. you could even listen to videos while in the background. you could't do that with neither periscope or meerkat. now the only 2 apps I use now are periscope and blab. if anyone wants to follow me you may. it's djmacradio. same as twitter.

Is there a way on Blab to start with a completely "new" or "blank" conference and invite followers from there?

Also, is there a way to invite people in, say, from Twitter and/or Facebook who might not already have Blab or a Blab account? Is there a way to invite participants from Twitter/Facebook at all?

Further, is there a way to find friends you already follow from Facebook/Twitter and add them to your Blab contacts via the Blab app?

Also, how accessible is the app, really? (Someone needs to do an offcial review on here.)

Hi @KE7ZUM. I checked out your podcast demonstration of Meerkat vs. Periscope, and I was using Periscope for a few months. However, not very many people were tuning into my scopes, nor did I get many comments or retweets. But I decided to give Meerkat a try. And let me tell you, I'm so glad I did! Because now, I've gotten tons of retweets, restreams, favorites, and likes on my broadcasts. And I've only been using the app for a day. So, thanks to you for recommending it. :)

I tried this app today and have found this app to be half way accessible, there's no way to select any other category other than on air with voiceover, I also found some unlabeled buttons when viewing a stream. I'm not even sure how to record a stream so off my phone it went. I'll stick with periscope and meerkat for now. I'd recommend as a member of this community when you are talking about a favorite app that you like please mention the accessibility nature of it.

Loving meerkat!!! yeah, agreed that it's more accessible. I would like to thank @djhey20 and @ke7zum and others for recommending this app. yeah loved blab, but the interface could be made more accessible. plus, lots of issues related to using blab with voiceover. I will continue to use meerkat and periscope for Live Twitter Casts.

I've tried blab, snd found it in accessable. I am looking for a live streaming platform, so I can best use it for the business, so on. I've tried scope, but is it worth the time? last time I tried it, it wasn't working.

I agree with KE7Zum. I think I tried out Blab and it kinda wasn't really accessible. I mean it was it was just harder to navigate. But I would prefer Meerkat, and I love the Cameo feature. And also ZCast.

Oh and by the way, here is a link to Meerkat

I don't remember trying out blab, lol! But if it is really not that usable, try contacting the devs and see if they can fix the issues.
