Hello there. I'm having an extremely hard time registering my phone number on Zoom using iOS. As long as i'm somewhere quiet i am able to hear the spoken capture code required as part of the registration, but even after multiple attempts to submit, i'm constantly presented with the message "failed to register phone number". I don't have instant access to sighted assistance, but even still, i've been using an I device long enough now to feel confident in my ability to type my own mobile number into it correctly. Please could anyone suggest any accessible workarounds to help me get my number registered in order to make use of zoom to the full? Thanks very much in advance.

I don’t know where you are but.
In the UK sometimes you have to remove the 0 after the +44 for it to work and sometimes it wants the 0. Is that any help?
It appears not.
No. I'm in the UK and have tried submitting both with and without the 0.
Alternative solution
Hi there,
I would encourage you to sign up at www.zoom.com and then once your account is up and running, add your phone number to your profile.
HTH. 🙂
That website is a nightmare to navigate
I already have an account. I can't find my way around that website at all - no idea where my profile is, so was hoping to deal with it from the mobile app which is clearly far easier to manage.
Fair enough
I have only used the phone version once for a college class years ago. Call me weird, but I prefer the macOS app for Zoom. It is, or at least used to be, super accessible.
I also dig the push-to-talk feature of the desktop apps.
As for your phone issue, all I can suggest is to keep trying and be sure to remove the firs number in the phone field. From what I have read online, that is an issue that lots of users have to deal with, sighted or otherwise.
HTH.
Interesting
I would also like the option of using Zoom on my Mac book air brian. How did you go about installing the app onto your computer?
Zoom for Mac
https://zoom.us/support/download?os=mac
Clicking on that link will download the Mac package. Just open the package. Unfortunately, I can't remember if it's an auto-installer or not. If it is, just follow the prompts. If not, copy the application to your applications folder, then open.
Brilliant
Brilliant. Thanks very much for this ☺️
To answer your question
I did a lot of Zoom back in college, or Uni for you British types. Anyways, the Prof would email the students a Zoom link and that is how I got Zoom installed.
HTH.
Thanks
Thanks. I've installed it now. Somebody saw our conversation and has kindly sent me the link.
Had no problems here in the U.S
Hello,
I've had no problems with my phone number and Zoom here in the US.
