I'm not exactly sure when this started, but I'm having issues with notifications on the OUtlook app. They don't seem to play a sound anymore or appear in my notification center despite notification settings being turned on. Trying to avoid an uninstall and reinstall but will do if necessary. Anyone have any suggestions?

There's currently an issue with Microsoft that's causing this. The only thing we can do is wait until they fix it on their side.

Thanks for letting me know! Glad it isn't anything on my end. Appreciate the quick response!

It seams to work for me with no issues. changed a setting about notifications that i can't remember at the moment, I hear the sound but voiceover doesn't read the notification to me, i like it that way but forgot how I did it.

If anyone is interested; let me know and i'll see what I can do.

I have notification sounds turned on. I just checked the settings directly in the app.

If you want Outlook to play a sound, but not actually announce the notification with VoiceOver, do the following:
1. Go to settings, apps, Outlook and tap to open.
2. On this screen navigate to notifications and tap to open.
3. On this screen adjust settings as needed, but make sure that sounds are turned on, and announce notifications are turned off.

When you get email, you will hear your sound effect, but voiceover should not say anything to you.

Hi, thanks for the tip. I already have that on.

Hi,

Apologies, I forgot to add one last step. Do everything I mentioned above, but also on the notification screen, disable show previews.
With these settings, whenever I get an email, I will get a notification sound effect, and then I will hear voice over just say something like outlook notification, and that's it. Don't really know if it's possible to completely turn that off, but these settings will at least keep it from reading out your emails for the world to hear.

OK, scratch what I said above, I figured out how to make it so only the ringtone plays and nothing else. When you're in your notification settings, uncheck the following:
Show on lock screen.
Show a notification center.
Show us banner.

When all of those are unchecked, and you receive an email, you will absolutely only hear your ringtone, and nothing else.

Sorry for the confusion, and hope this helps you out. :-)
