Dear all,
Since the upgrade to IOS 13.1.2, I have been having issue with voiceover after ending any call on whatsapp. After I end the call or the other person ends the call, voiceover will stop responding and my phone will get hang. This will last for about 10 minutes. Any solution to this? I have tried pressing the home key + power key but it takes a while for the voiceover to respond.
Is anyone facing similar issue? Thanks

but, it is not just only in whatsapp.
anything like facebook messenger, skype.... essectra.
the third party calls are having issue with voice over.

I have had come across this problem way even before iOS 13. This seems to be going on with Skype, messenger, WhatsApp or any other third-party application.
What I do when I hang up a phone call is the following:
Press the side button or the home button (depending on what iPhone you have.)
Anyway, press and hold to summon Siri and once you hear the bell, let go and press The side button or home button once more to get out of Siri. At this point, voiceover should talk again.
Hope that helps. It works for me all the time.

Hmm. I'll have to test with an ios what's app call, Oh wait, I did yesterday and hung up and all was good. Using 13.2 over here latest beta as of I believe yesterday.

Try the siri trick, if you can even hear the siri, in my case all sounds were at the time muted but the last time this bug reared it head was about a month ago. So knock on wood, it will be fixed for you all when you get ios 13.2.

hi
I faced the same thing yesterday on a whatsapp voice call. I did nothing when it hung.. just locked the phone and kept it away for some time. after summoning Siri and locking the screen again, it was fine.

Well, I've tried to enable siri but it doesn't work too. When I press on the home button and side button together, it will take a while for voice over to become alive again.
So we should wait for the next IOS?

I am very sorry for not being able to help. That is how I take care of the problem and it has worked for me 100% of the times. I am using an iPhone X and after hanging up a call with WhatsApp or Facebook messenger the volume of VoiceOver is gone so I press the power button for One or two seconds in order to summon Siri. When I hear the ding sound I press the power button again in order to get out of Siri and VoiceOver is back on.
I was hoping this same solution could work for everybody else.
