When I’m searching with siri on a topic the results disappear instantly and I have to continuously repeat the question. Can this be fixed?
Why is this happening now?

Thank you

Hi have you tried resetting your phone? Works fine for me on iPhone 15pro.

Hi,

When you say "disappearing", do you mean they show up, and then go away, or are you clicking on the results, and then cannot get back to the results? One more thing, when you were trying to search with Siri, is Siri suddenly automatically listening again and picking up random sounds or other voices in your environment?

I am asking because, as of iOS 17, especially on newer phones, it is really hard to use Siri with the adaptive listening feature that Apple has implemented, because you will give it a command, Siri will execute the command, and then immediately start listening again, and if you so much as breathe too loudly, Siri will take that as an inquiry and try to respond to it.

Hope this helps a little. 🙂

I look up a topic and I don’t get a chance to read or select anything.
I restarted my iPad and it doesn’t help.

Hi all,
I tested this on an iPad and could not reproduce.
VoiceOver was reading all the Siri search results after I told Siri to search for a topic.
I told Siri "search for Apple TV using Google."

Thanks

I actually noticed this problem with 17.3
Siri keeps listening and it’s a pain in the butt!
If there’s background noise, it hears it and it starts to listen so it stops reading your search and your search goes away.
Apple needs to fix this problem. It is absolutely ridiculous.
I saw a post that says, Siri stop listening.
It doesn’t work.
Apple needs to rectify this. It is absolutely a pain.

I looked in settings and I don’t know where the solution is. I just want my iPad to work correctly when I’m searching for information on the web.

accessibility@apple.com is your best bet.

i've reported a touch typing issue and i'm helping them with more info.

This is the way we get things fixed, it's a bit frustrating but there's not much else that can b done.

Until Apple gives us a toggle for the adaptive listening function Siri does now, we are all pretty much stuck with it. It's that or disable Siri altogether. 😣
