Iphone's best feature, spotlight is partially broken

Spotlight is one of the best, if not the best, features on the iPhone, and it hasn’t been broken in years. I literally use it for everything: calculations, calls, email searches, dictionary, messages, settings, and more. It saves a lot of time since I don’t have to open an app to search within it. However, guess what? It's partially broken with iOS 18.
The functionality is okay, but we have a few problems here:
First off, VoiceOver is sluggish and lags when navigating between results with a one-finger left or right swipe. This is especially noticeable when there are a lot of results.
Another problem is that Spotlight results are grouped into contacts, messages, email, maps, etc. They used to be organized by headings, which allowed me to navigate between result groups using the headings rotor. I can no longer do that because they are no longer defined as headings.
Any ideas? Should we submit feedback to make this feature a time-saver again?
**Edit**: My iPhone 15 Pro Max felt warm to the touch after a few Spotlight searches, and VoiceOver became a bit sluggish when I had a lot of search results.

Spotlight results seem to be working fine for me, with the exception of no more headings. However, the Siri suggestions when you first open spotlight are incredibly sluggish to navigate through with voiceover.

iPhone SE3 running iOS 18.0.

Yes, the results at the top on the screen are slugish to move between. This is unnoticeble when I have few results.

Using 15 Pro Max here, didn't observe sluggishness or heating issue so far. Will keep an eye on this.
