I have just looked at the photos app for the first time since updating to iOS 14. What have they done to it? Using voice-over I can’t make head nor tale of navigating through the photos. If I put a finger on the screen it tells me there is a photo but if I flick left or right to get to another one like I used to it just goes to the tabs or do something else. Any ideas or suggestions? Using voice-over.

VO and Photos
Hi. I too have an iPhone XR and need sighted assistance when in photos using IOS 14. Before updating to IOS 14 I relied on the date and time photos were taken in order to send them in messages. Since updating VO just says photo and doesn't announce when it was taken. I have to show phone to fiance to make sure I'm sending the right photo. I do like that VO describes the photos to some extent though.
