hello gang,
so i recently got myself a new iphone XR and am loving it.
however, i noticed an issue while charging it's battery.
for some reason, i noticed that the battery never seems to get fully charged, and all i hear when i touch the battery status is battery charging 100%.
from what i know, voiceover should say on AC power indicating that the battery is fully charged
i even tried turning on airplane mode and charged it the entire night; but the battery never reached the 100% AC notification.
so i was just wondering if i'm doing something wrong, or does the iphone XR no longer announces the 100% AC power notification when fully charged,
any info or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much
arvind

You're not doing anything wrong
For whatever reason, we know longer get those anouncements. I, too, have an XR and I do not get those notifications either. It is the same with being notified when Bluetooth is turned on or not. Apple has really slipped on a couple of major issues.
Hi,
Hi,
No, the "on AC power has been removed from all newer phones. I've got the iPhone X and it doesn't show up, it's no big deal. Usually when it says 100%, it's fully charged. It won't hurt the battery to leave it at 100% for a while, say a day or two.
I have exactly the same on my
I have exactly the same on my iPhone XS.
tq for all comments
thanks to all who commented;
i too believe apple has really slipped up on some major issues;
hope they do something about it; because the battery is the iphone's biggest weakness anyway;

battery
Yes. It is correct. I also have the same in my iPhone xx. I believe it started last year.
Issues
I can forgive Voiceover not sayng "on AC power." What I find a little harder to deal with is the fact that the phone doesn't tell you when Bluetooth is turned on, especially when you go into settings and deliberately switch it off. The fact that it turns itself back on again without any "by your leave" is very disturbing.
iphone xr charging issue
hi their, I recently got an iphone xr and I to have this weird charging issue.
This is not an issue. Apple
This is not an issue. Apple deliberately removed the "on AC power" message VO would say. My theory is that once it says 100%, your device is charged and can be either left plugged into power wether that be from ac adapter, wireless charger, or power bank. It will then stop charging the battery and keep it topped up. On my power banks, once the device has stopped charging, the bank will automatically shut off.
In reguards to the bluetooth thing, If you turn BT off, it'll disappear from the status bar on the top. I've never had it automatically turn back on before. Unless I turn it on in CTRL center, or in settings, it'll stay off.
that's true but
hi ,
i give that apple may have deliberately removed the on AC power notification,
but don't you think that apple should have atleast have the courtesy to inform all of us on the changes?
just wondering.
It's apple we're talking
It's apple we're talking about here. A lot of the changes they implement into VO are not found out until we see them. In my view, wether it's good or not, apple doesn't have to say Okay we're going to remove the ON ac power message, they can just do it and it's done. I'm almost certain sited people won't get this message. I'm guessing they did before, but am not sure.
Agree with Justin
I'm just glad they notify us of the big changes.
I agree with you on that!
I agree with you on that!
they should have
yeah apple; they can do anything they want;
it's strange that the notification says 100% charging; giving VO users the impression that the battery is still charging;
perhaps, it should say 100% charged?
but it's apple; i guess;
cheers
You should probably check ...
You should probably check with someone sighted to see if, once the status reports 100% charging if there is a visible icon on the screen that indicates that the phone is fully charged. Before, even when the phone said 100% battery power, it still continued to say charging for a few minutes before the on Ac power message popped up. I'd be curious to know if there are any sighted indications.
