iPhone control by users with injured hands through Voiceover.

Hello everyone. I work in a rehabilitation center for the blind. Veterans who lost their sight in the war, as well as hand injuries of various degrees of severity, come to us more and more often.
Sometimes it's missing fingers, and sometimes it's hands.
These are difficult cases, but we have to help them.
I know that there are certain accessibility features on the iPhone that help control the device with voice, gaze, or specialized manipulators.
But I have little information about it.
Please, who has such experience, share it.
There may be some guides or specialized resources.
Maybe someone has similar problems and can tell what is needed, some additional manipulators, or something else?
Maybe the Apple Watch solves some of the problems?
In general, I am interested in any information on this topic.
I will be grateful for everyone's help.

Hi! Take a look at voice control and eye tracking, both are found in settings, accessibility. Voice control works prety well, although if your in a loud area, i'm not sure how well would it work in those types of cases. Nonetheless, give these 2 a go, it might be what you’re looking for. Hope this helps.

Assistive Touch may be very useful for this group of users. I'm a VoiceOver user, but I still find it useful to quickly restart my device.

While I'm on the topic of Assistive Touch, it would be great if Apple would add a customizable control bar at the bottom of the screen, similar to Android devices. One of the many reasons I no longer use an iPhone as my primary mobile platform is because I don't find Apple's swipe and wait for the correct number of clicks gesture system very intuitive and/or efficient. Android has very easy touch buttons to go home, back, and open the same thing as the App Switcher, so there's no reason Apple can't do the same and make it easier for some people to perform these tasks. I encourage everyone interested in this feature to send feedback to Apple ASAP! If enough of us do so, maybe they'll prioritize it in iOS 19.
